Hi!

Welcome to my blog.

Join me as I write and share a few things that are closest to me. This blog will feature family, lifestyle, friends and activities I consider fun.

I am a family person and love my family to the core. I come from a family of 5; I have two brothers and my parents. I am the middle child and fortunately (possibly unfortunately too), the only girl.

I was born and raised in both Tanzania and Kenya. I have spent the first 18 years of my life in the heart of Africa, East Africa (I know this is a biased opinion). I then moved to Canada for a year for my first year of college, in Vancouver. I then decided that Vancouver may have not been the best place for me and had a difficult time deciding whether it was the right to move or stay. In April 2017, I left Vancouver to go back home for a few months still not knowing if I would return or not.

In the summer of 2017, I had applied to colleges as a transfer student in the United States and received a few offers. I then made a comforting decision with Drake University, as they offered me the most money and had the program I had longed for as a little girl.

Like any normal person, I was terrified to move. Terrified of making new friends and adapting to a new environment. I was lucky enough to find my group of people who helped me settle in very quickly.

I have a few weeks left of my Junior year and I am so excited but nervous at the same. Senior year is almost upon me, and it feels like I just graduated high school yesterday. I am currently majoring in Digital Media Production as it is something that has always been a passion of mine.

My end goal is to go back home and change the whole narrative on third-world countries. My motto is, “film with a purpose”. Wanting to make a difference behind the camera and impacting the community with the content I create.

Join me as I share my lifestyle and continue to explore my weaknesses, strengths and growths as an individual.

Lots of Love,

Kemi
